Valiant Heroes of the Golden Throne, we’re happy to announce that our progress surges forward like a charging stallion!
As foretold, our gnomish scribes have started working on the arcane process of layout, weaving words and illustrations together with the precision of master artisans to create a magnificent tapestry. With more than 100 new original illustrations, lovingly crafted by our talented artists, gracing the page of the manuscript, this process is going to take some time, but we assure you that the final result will be well worth the wait.

At the same time, we have commissioned the most skilled cartographers in the land to bring forth the maps needed for the Secrets of the Golden Throne campaign. These masterpieces shall guide your path through the land of Awallon, leading you to victory against the forces of the wicked Maimed King. We can’t wait to show you the result of their work!
Now, dear Heroes, lend us your ears, for while we yearn to reveal to you more of what’s to come, we've chosen not to include the Secrets of the Golden Throne campaign among the Early Access files. Not only to avoid spoiling the surprises that await, but also because we wish to grant you a seamless and immersive experience. Without the maps and proper layout, several parts of the adventure would be hard to follow and almost impossible to play.
Fear not, however, for this decision springs from our unwavering commitment to deliver an experience worthy of your heroic souls. When the time is right, and the stars align, you shall embark on this grand adventure, and it shall be unlike any other.

Heroes of the Golden Throne! Gather around and listen closely, for we bring you marvelous tidings!
It is with great joy that we announce that the final manuscript for the Secrets of the Golden Throne campaign is complete and has been swiftly sent to our esteemed editor. In the coming weeks, it will endure his meticulous scrutiny, ensuring no error or misplaced words mar its text.
Once the brave editor has finished his task, our gnomish scribes shall commence the arcane art of layout. They will mold the words and illustrations into a breathtaking tapestry, a tome worthy of its coveted place upon your shelves. Fear not, Heroes, for we shall spare no effort to ensure that this sacred artifact reaches you in its full glory.
Those of you who selected the Split Shipping option should already have received their first batch of rewards (including physical copies of the Against the DarkmasterCore Rules, Player’s Handbook, GM’s Screen, and the two adventures). If you’ve selected the Split Shipping option and still haven’t received your reward, contact us immediately at [email protected] , and we shall summon our fleetest couriers to rectify the situation.
This year of 2023 also marks the grand celebration of the 5th anniversary of Open Ended Games and of our fight Against the Darkmaster. Prepare yourselves, Heroes, for our merry Pixie revelers have woven a tapestry of surprises to honor this joyful occasion!
Without your unwavering support, however, we’d never have been able to endure the assault of the forces of Darkness for all this time. So let us raise our chalices to you, brave Heroes, and express once again our heartfelt gratitude for your assistance!

Bestiary and Split Shipping

Well met, heroes!
We hope you enjoyed our last update, as always, your help in polishing the final text of the supplement has been invaluable.
Now that you’re familiar with the land of Awallon and its people, it’s time to get to know some of the adversaries you’re going to face while exploring the island. Keep your swords at hand and your spells ready, because you’re about to meet wild beasts, nasty critters, and fearsome monsters in (you guessed it) the Early Access version of the Secrets of the Golden Throne Bestiary!
All backers whose rewards include a physical or digital version of the Secrets of the Golden Throne book will find the file in the digital download section of their Backerkit account, together with all the other files they have access to.
Please note that the file you’ll receive is NOT the final version of the Secrets of the Golden Throne supplement, but only an art-free draft of the Bestiary. The contents, final look, and layout of Secrets of the Golden Throne are going to be quite different from what you’ll find in this draft.
For those of you who selected the Split Shipping option, we’re happy to announce that their first batch of rewards for US are ready to go and will be shipped soon from our US fulfillment center. These include physical copies of the Against the Darkmaster Core Rules, Player’s Handbook, GM’s Screen, and the two adventures (Silence of Dawnfell and Legacy of Blood). The Secrets of the Golden Throne book will of course be shipped later this year, together with all other backers’ rewards.
For EU, UK, and Canada backers who selected the Split Shipping option, your rewards are currently en route to their respective countries’ fulfillment centers. Unfortunately this means you’ll receive your rewards a bit later than the US backers, but don’t worry, your books are on their way!

Spell Cards
We’re also pleased to announce that we’ve just released a set of Spell Cards for each Spell Lore Category contained in the Against the Darkmaster Core Rules: Common & Kin, Wizard, Animist, Champion, and Dabbler!
Fresh off the presses!
Each card in a set describes a single Spell, its effect, Parameters (such as Range, Area of Effect, Duration, and Save information), and Warping Options. No more flipping through the rulebook! With the Against the Darkmaster Spell Cards you'll have every spell known by your character readily available to you.
Land of the Golden Throne Early Access

Greeting heroes, we come bringing good tidings!
The Early Access version of the first part of Secrets of the Golden Throne is ready, and all backers whose rewards include a physical or digital version of the book will soon receive a link to download the file through Backerkit (remember to check the Spam folder if you don’t see it).
Inside, you’ll find details about the island of Awallon and its inhabitants, plus a wealth of new rules and options, including Kins, Cultures, Backgrounds, and Spell Lores.
Please note that the file you’ll receive is NOT the final version of the Secrets of the Golden Throne supplement!
This is an art-free draft of the first part of the book, which is to be followed by a Bestiary, and by the campaign. For this reason, it’s likely to contain some typos and errors, which are going to be fixed in the final version. Moreover, you’ll find that the final look and layout of Secrets of the Golden Throne will be quite different from what you’ll find in this draft.
